HackRice is occurring earlier this year, to facilitate a larger crowd. The annual hackathon at Rice University is sponsored by the Rice Computer Science Club. Over 500 students from Rice and other universities will work around the clock for 36 hours to develop projects in an environment designed to stimulate creativity and collaboration. Launching at 9:00 p.m. on Friday night, January 15, teams will work on their projects, take breaks for food or a quick nap, and present their final results at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, January 17. Rice students can still register until January 15 at http://hack.rice.edu/.
